Default Hi newbie here

Hope some one can share some light here. I have a ke70 81, with a silvertop with blacktop ECU and loom. The ECU is for a manual trany, but all the docs that i find matches the auto loom, soooo confusing. My issue is that i don't have power to the ignition and injectors. all wiring seems ok. i get a signal from igt, no spark, the coil pack wen up in smoke, have to get a new one. all sensor are connected, except the map sensor, speed sensor, water temp, and iscv, don't know if any of those needs to be connected for it to get power to the injectors and ignition. lost here. hope some can't help.
Thanks
ps.. will post pics later

Welcome to the forum. You may want to do some searches in the Toyota specific section of our site. Its not overly active right now, but there are a few visitors there that may be able to help you.

Hello... welcome to TampaRacing... I have a TE72 (same as the KE)

I have done this before in my friends TE72. There is a signal missing to the ecu and there needs to be a jump in order to bypass the Manual Tranny "lock out" which is being mis-sent for the auto. Basically its a feature for the car "not to start" should the car be in gear and then lunge forward..

The issue is most likely along those lines... again, after having 8+ TE72s, 5 Ae86s- ive encountered this during swap n such....

thanks for joining.!

Feel free to use the Toyota sub section for parts sales and technical info like this.. I will be trying to churn things up some more in there..
