sad news
damn just sold my mk3 supra for next to nothing im moving to miami and din't have the money or time for it anymore. oh well hopefully all goes well and i get back on track and im thinking about buying a mk4 as my next toy. what you guys think build a badass mk3 or get a mk4?
MK4, because in 5-10 years it will still hold its value.
your kidding right? have you not seen how far the value has dropped in the last 5 years alone? the bubble from the fast and furious movie is deflating, and will continue to do so as the car gets older and older. the only ones that will hold their value are the bone stock tt 6speed hardtops and wont be really worth anything for another 15+ years, and then only to collectors. the automakers have been making sports cars again, so people with money tend to want something new, or imported, like a r32-r34 skyline gtr etc... 350 and 370z's are out, the new rwd hyndai will start to take on a huge following soon, the camaro, corvette, mustangs, gtr, etc... hell, the is-f has over 400rwhp now stock. there are just too many rwd platforms out now for the supra to hold the insane bubble any longer. the fad is dieing down.

kirk, dont be butthurt because the value of the mk4 has fallen off. the kbb values have never mattered when selling a mkiv. cars that were going for $80k 5 years ago wouldnt go for $50k now. that is a decline. a stock tt was going for $30k+ 5 years ago, now you can find them for $20k and less.

I am not butthurt. No need to be immature. It has fallen compared to 5 years ago but it also has come back up, but not nearly as good as it was 5 years ago. Impressive for an old car.

its old school or bust. although i love the mk4, done up older rides get more respect. the current crowd of mk4 owners only have them to be cool. just like porshe and corvette owners. mk3 owners are motor heads.
