Question about Cusco Coilovers?
Hey, TR. I've got some decisions to make, and I need your help. A friend of mine has offered to sell me his Cusco Coilovers off his MK3 Supra. Now, I've heard good things about Cusco Coilovers in general, but I honestly didn't even know they made them for MK3 Supras. I looked on their website, and it's just so poorly put together, I can't find any useful information. The deal he's giving me is pretty damn good, and I almost can't resist. The only thing that's holding me back is the fact that one of the shocks is blown and needs to be rebuilt. I heard from him and another friend that Cusco can rebuild blown shocks for somewhere around $200, but once again... I found no useful information to back that up on Cusco's website.
What do you guys think about Cusco Coilovers?
Does anyone have first hand experience with them in a Supra?
Does anyone have first hand experience with them in any other cars?
How do you compare them to other brands like Tein, or Megan, or Bilstein?
What do you guys know about rebuilding coilovers?
Is there any way I could get it done locally?
What prices am I looking at?
Thanks for your help, TR.

Maybe you can get a quote or something to help you.
JDM coilovers are usually a pain in the ass to get rebuilt, due to the big gap of water between us. Buying a coilover without US support comes with its prices.
Its a good deal I think, but if they cant rebuild it, its not worth it.

Haha. Google took me to that 240 thread earlier. He eventually just had to buy a brand new shock, because the local shop couldn't get ahold of the rebuild kit, after like a month and a half of trying. But, that was in Frisco, I would think the car scene here might be more involved, and I might be able to find someone local to rebuild it. But, I'm going to check that other link you posted. Thanks for your help, Matt.
Still would like more opinions/help though.

AFAIK I am the only one locally rebuilding coil-overs. most cases I charge $150 and if they need parts whatever those cost of those parts. Cusco is most popular in the Subaru community, and has a good reputation.
I've had to rebuild/replace a few of the inverted dampers, actually they have a bad vent design and don't handle mud well, but if they can be fixed I can do it.. can you bring the broken one by? I check them out for free.
