My car was totaled and I just got a 1994 Toyota Tercel, and its a 4 Speed, and a 1.5L motor thats FI, it Runs amazing and Clutch is good.
idel is Good, and my only problem (ponder) is that I get a vibration only when Im braking and its ONLY when I break.
When I break hard there is no pull to any side just vibration in my steering wheel, .

A friend told my it was my Rotors and just have them cut or new rotors and put new pads on... the pads look good, but the rotors are worn,

I just wanted to ask TR ..

 

shit i had a 94 tercel 4speed with the 3e-e, things are pieces of shit. i beat the piss out of it, but it took me like 6 months to blow the engine.

its your rotors. replace them.

thanks for the input, I gota say that im getting 36 mpg and the tercel dont smoke, dont leak, and just runs good.

 

mine did too. i ramped it off of shit, drove over ditches just too see if it would clear them, random burnouts, running it with less than a quart of oil, and over revving it constantly to see if i could blow it up.

i DROVE it to the junkyard with a rodknock worse than satan. little shits are strong for toyotas weakest engine.

 

yea its rotors i can cut them and put new pads in for $50 if your interested

 

could be rotors or possibly ball joints/tie rod ends. i had bad tie rods on one of my supras that would only cause the steering wheel to shake under braking. jack the front up and try to wiggle the tire top to bottom. if it does, its ball joints. if not, wiggle side to side, if it does, its tie rod ends. if it doesnt, then its likely rotors. car does have tiny brakes so the rotors have prolly been overheated and warped.

 

36mpg? id change the oil and do all other maintenance per schedule and drive it for a dd forever.

 

I got the Rotors swap;d out and new pads and it stops with no vibration!!!
thanks for the input, I swapd the plugs out and new wires and the Tercel runs like new.

the 4 speed is really fun to drive, wow missed a stick.
