87 cressida project
this is true, but again not all VVT-i 1Jz came with the single. I think and what are the chances of finding one.

yeah actually all vvti 1j's were single turbo. and they're pretty common on ebay as well as usually cheaper than the older 1j's. a cressida is prob not the best car for someone with limited automotive knowledge. nothing bolts on, basically everything you have to fab yourself or modify to work. trust me i own one. if i was you i'd save up for a jzx90 1j complete motorset and go from there. 1uz's are a cunt as far as piecing together drivetrain shit. and if you buy a "kit" it's usually waaaay pricy.

With an X73 you will even have less parts then if you had an X83. Driftmotion, Serial Nine, Beech Performance, are all places that you can get parts from. Also the JZ boards can offer you used parts, engine mounts, wiring diagrams, and more information.
Its not about "wanting" to do a swap. We all want to do it. Until you buy the motor-set and start hoisting it into your car, your just a dreamer. Took me 3 years to get the balls to build my cressida.
Miles has done the UZ swap is his mx83, and loves it. I am sure you will too, but money, research, and time gets it done.
I prefer the 1jz, but then again I prefer it auto, I do not drift I just beat shit up on the way home = P
