Hey Brandon,
Were you able to get the problem fixed? If not let me know I can meet up with you and we can brainstorm together what might be causing this. I'm over by the USF area so let me know what will be a good day for you.

Unfortunatly I broke my wastegate trying to take it apart. I'm pretty sure it was frozen and that was the prob. I disconnected the boost controller and ran right off the waste gate and boost was still being built up to 17 and beyond. Now my spring in the wastegate only goes to 13 so that guided me to the conclusion that it was the prob. My car should have been running again a week ago by Turbonetics F'ing sucks and forget to ship my order for over a week, until I called that is.

Oh well, at least it gave me time to change my clutch release cylinder and my tranny fluid. I'm still waiting on my SAFC, turbo timer, and border/toms kit.

Well damnit I finally got the new wastegate today. I hooked it up and am having the same damn problem. I'm so pissed that I just wasted over $200 on a new wastegate. Yeah I will sell you the old one for parts if you want it. Make me an offer.

Thanks,
Brandon

PS. Argghh!!!~

Well I figured out why I was overboosting. I am retarded and had the wrong vac lines plugged into the wastegate. They were negating each other....

http://www.j-body.org/members/whiteyz/cars/2/ (in the pic of the engine I circled what I did)

There is a pic of what I did right there. Well anyway I bought a new wastegate because thats what I thought the prob was. I got the car working fine except for the fact that it leaks a little under my deltagate. I tried doubling the gaskets, but that didn't fix it either. So since I was only hitting 8 psi on my boost setting I decided to switch to manual mode with my EVC and up the boost a lil to equalize the exhaust leak. I had it set to 12-13ish and all of a sudden I started having probs.

The PROBS...

I switched it back to my 10psi setting on the low button but everytime I floor the car it gets to about 5-6 rpms and the car starts jerking violently and the rpms start sticking. It like its having a massive boost spike or something. I really don't know why it would cause the rpms to stick though. Any ideas?

do you have any type of boost cut defencer?? It sounds similar to boost cut or fuel cut.

That's a good suggestion about whether or not you have a FCD. But I find it hard to believe that with all the mods you have that you don't have one. I would also check to make sure you didn't accidentially set your B/C back to AC (internal wastegate set up) and make sure you have it set for an external wastegate set up. I would also check your timing. If its off, that could cause some serious sputtering at higher rpm's under hard boost. One more thing could be dentonation. Make sure your getting enough fuel in those cylinders at higher rpm's. Do you have an EGT to be able to keep an eye on those exhaust gas temps? Who did the custom fab work for making the TD06 with an external wastegate? As you can see there are a couple of things to try and work out. If you want we can meet and maybe get a better idea of what may be wrong. I not claiming to be an expert on the 3s-gte engines, but I have worked on them and sometimes sharing different ideas are beneficial.
