i bought my first AE86
Every part of this car has been fudged with...
I got the timing from 60 to 25 degrees advanced. I'm not driving it until its about 15-20 degrees.
It is a fight to keep an ae86 alive

Yeah...
Progress: Replaced the Igniter and fixed the wiring
Replaced the fuel pressure regulator
Plugs, wires, cap, rotor
Actually got the damn thing to 18 degrees timing
It still idles alittle rough but drives perfect under normal driving.
Under heavy acceleration its slower than 30% throttle
It can rev in idle full throttle and the maf gives volt readings through the range
the more i look at it, the more that tic on the intake cam may be alittle off. Could the adjustable cam gears make the car run like shit if they are off by an amount. And why would that only effect heavy acceleration

UPDATE!
So i got the car running right about 3 weeks ago. I went to change the pads and rotors today but aparently i don't have GTS brakes. The rotor doesn't go over the wheel studs, they bolt to the hub with a center 17mm nut holding everything down. They arent rx7 brakes and the factory GTS calipers are attached. Sorry i didn't take any pictures but they most closely resemble Celica brakes from 85. They front rotors are vented as well.

They don't go over the hub, they bolt to the back of it. Take dust cap off center of hub, remove bolt and washer, remove hub, unbolt 14's remove rotor. I highly suggest cleaning out all the crap grease and replacing the bearings and new grease, it's an old ass car it's better to do it now until you break one trust me, and you can get bearings from 88rotors for I think I paid 60 for both sides inner/outers.

I repacked the bearings with mobil 1 bearing grease, So what car are these brakes from? Either they are gts brakes and the auto parts computer was off or they are some other toyota rotor. They do bolt to the hub. What you have described is what i have

I just picked up these FC 4 piston calipers. I think i am going to use them, got the autocad drawings for the bracket too.
The third image is some dude smoking with oxygen tanks...Thought that was funny. You can see my wrx in the background.
Anyway, if anyone has helpful information on how to mount these brakes it would be appreciated.
