nothing on in the supra

Default nothing turns on in the supra

well today i get home and the car wont start i look at every thing and battery is old and dead. i go and buy a new one and wen i put it in the lights turn on and everything is good but wen i go to start it everythin dies so i go back out side take the battery out then i put it back in and everything turns on i go to crank it and it dies again but now for good theres no power to anything i tried everything nothin works please help oh and its an 89 turbo

Did you clean up the terminals? Check the wires to see if they are corroded.

clean terminals, if not take the alternator to advance auto parts or auto zone for them to test it

sounds like bad connections. and where did you get this "new" battery? if its a recycled one from square deal or somthing its prolly just bad.

one of the battery terminals are broken will get new one tomorrow battery is brand new from advanced auto and could it be the alternator it started fine a few days ago

if the battery terminal is broken that would explain it. only way for EVERYTHING to die is if the battery is dead or disconnected. there is no 1 fuse that will kill everything.

Is the car totally dead? i.e. nothing works, no lights, no radio, no nothing.
Check the wires that goes from the battery to the fuses, then check the engine bay fuses themselves, then check the wiring leaving the fuse area. Other than that, all I can say is the battery is defective, and wont hold the charge.
