SC300,400, etc, etc... :)
I'm looking to buy a sc300, I would love a 5speed, but they are quite hard to come by I hear. So I might settle for an automatic.
Are the automatic 2jz versions just as responsive to modifications and boost, as the 5speed 2jz? Can the tranny handle it.
I'm just looking at some facts and opinions about this car. I had a few cars picked out, but so far I'm leaning towards the SC series, mainly a SC300.
1. I love Toyota's
2. I want a sporty stylish car.
3. Looking for something simple, reliable, not too bad on gas.
4. Engine with after market support.
5. Not a too common car like a civic.
6. Something RWD, or AWD.
7. Something that doesn't need a swap to be fast.
8. Budget of 8k at most for the car.
Thats basically it. I'll be keeping it stock first few weeks, while I feel out the car, and fix any minor things. Then getting into a better and lower stance, and wheels. And a decent stereo, nothing ghetto though.
I would like to add modifications little by little but only mod's that will be continued with a turbo application. So that means no header, or Intake, since those will have to be replace once under boost. So maybe just exhaust in the mean time. Then in the next year or more, FI with low boost, maybe 10 PSI, nothing major, just a nice fun DD.
Any inputs or opinions, or anything I should think about before getting one. Also any input at all about the SC300 would be great. Thanks guys.

Some of the parts that go out on the SC's can be expensive like the fuel computer. The SC400's have ecu issues from 92-95 ,but you can find them cheap on the forums. Clublexus.com has information you are looking for just don't post up newb questions cause they get angry at that. Use the search tool best thing on there! My buddy has a 5 speed SC300 for sale and he is asking $5000 for it ,but very negotiable on price. PM me if you want his #
