Up to 1994 the SC400 have the bitchin 1UZ that takes best to boost among the V8s, but all UZ family are auto only. You can manual convert them, but it requires either a W or R series transmission (Mk III Supra among others) and an adapter bellhousing, driveshaft, etc - probably close to $1500 in total.

Other than that, the 300 and 400 are approximately the same - big comfy yachts with 200lb doors.

I would suggest finding someone knowledgeable on these cars period to help you look over it. I don't trust any shops here locally, but that's just me.

get a 400. 300's are for girls. inline 6 challenge is old and busted, v8 challenge is the new hotness. 1uz + 5spd+ boost = 2jz death
