Default help with toyota, Put it here for traffic.

My 84 celica has a problem with a sensor.
Its intermitent but its getting more and more common and getting close to making it impossible to drive.

Before it would just cause me to have to stay really light on the throttal and under 3k.
I would just shut the car of and restart it and it was fine.

Now i cant accerlat at all and the car will die after a few seconds off the gas.
If i let the car die it will start back up after 2 tryes and be fine for alittle.

It will in to a Limp mode( thats all i know to call it), I have been thinking TPS, Or AFM.

Just dont know which or were to start for testing it.

I have a couple videos to show whats happening.

First one is it doing the problem.. WOT then light throttal, Then i go around to show the AFM moving and such and it dies.

Second is After that starting it back up with out turning it off.
I show Oil pressure and Temp for info.

Well if you have the book test both sensors. You should be able to test ohms or voltage. Also look for any loose or cracked vacuum lines, intake hose after the afm. You can also spray along all the gaskets on the intake manifold with carb cleaner to check for vacuum leaks.
