how can you tell? the egr valve is on the intake manifold..

 

^^ he was talking about on my car.... so people do it becuase they think it give extra power and shit so they just put a peice of sheet metal in between the egr and the intake manifold to block it off.

Probably next paycheck i will buy the block off plates and do it right.

and if your carbed then im showing you the wrong plates lol

I would Email LC tho to comfirm the right plates. i will look up the right ones if i get a chance... kinda busy.

i think the egr valves are the same. i did have a efi version before this one. my egr valve mounts to the head after #4 then the tube runs to the intake maifold.... so i just went out there and looked at it... that smog pump pumps air into some round thing mounted to the inner fender well, and that has a hose going to some thing mounted to the block and sends air into the exhust manifold where the o2 goes.. so i think i just need the o2 block off plate, and i'll be set.

 

LOL it took it like a CHAMP and is gonna keep getting it... I know how the car was treated before me im not stupid...I garentee(SP?) that its gotten 10X better care since i got then it has in who knows how long.

Nothing wrong with Projector HIDs in it... just cuz it was made in 84 doesnt meant it has to stay in 84... its like a mullet.

OH and just to make sure I wasnt calling anybody out about that or talking shit about it... It was my own rant. everybody does stuff diffrent.

And to the op That would be the diffrence the smog pump... sounds like youve got it figured out.
