that nissan design of the 2000 GT looks like a premature C2 vette.
i like my MK3 because of the style, comfort and great handling. nevermind the headgasket nightmares and the fact that it is slow as balls. my old '81 corolla was by far the most reliable and easiest damn thing to work on period.... 3TC FTW.

 

yea goertz said he used the C2 as an "inspiration" for the Nissan design and a jaguar e-type as the one for the 2000gt

obviously the toyota 2000gt.

full aluminum 2000 lb body. twincam straight 6 with 200 hp with the performance option. independant rear suspension, vented disk brakes. all in the mid 60's... this car wasnt just ahead of its time, this car, was concept car put into production....


btw lil know fact,. there were 3 factory built targa top cars. sean connery at 6'2" coulnt confotably fit in the little car, so they built targa cars to use in the bond movie.

 

u cant compare the 2000gt and the mk4,. the mk4 was the best car in its class... the 2000gt was beyond any class.

u have to look at more that just performance and looks. were talking 1967 and 1994

 

I'll buy a 2000GT when Veilside offers a body kit for one.

 

the MK4 isnt the best car in its class as a skyline or even an FD will smoke it on a road course. in the dragstrip stock its about as fast as a 3KGT and faster than a 300ZX and FD but still not as afast as the Skyline. Not dissising but its wasnt the best car in its class.

MY favorite ar would be the TE27 Corolla(Coupe 71-74 Body) i mean in japan you oculd get these with a 2TG and 115HP with dual sidedrafts and they weigh about 2000 lbs. The car was able to beat out the Datsun 260Z in rally. My opinion best toyota ever built HANDS DOWN!

te27(71-73) is better then 74. 73 had baby bumpers and and 74 and up have ankle breakers for more safety. Id say te27 ,74 celica. 8* celicaalltrac ,ae86 gts, and 90 all trac. 93 and up supras, 2000gt, and cressidas< for having the option to drift with style
