Is it a JDM motor? They do not have the oil level sensor, and usdm versions do. So you probably need to just pop the light out of the dash or cut the whire.

Dont pop the bulb off, OR cut the wire. Just change the oil pan from a USDM mr2. They shouldnt cost that much and it will look like its a 100% factory. If it is a USDM motor then your sensor could be out, look at the oil pan near the main pulley and you should see the sensor right there.

It will look the same except for the fact it doesn't have any emissions control devices on it.

if your oil pan doesnt have the sensor you should see a plug hanging down either by your crank pully or underneath your intake manifold that isnt going to anything... you should be able to just jump this out and your light should go out (disclaimer: i am not responsible if you jump the wrong plug and fuck something up)
