so you wont be doing ANY of the work yourself? this will cost you about $1500-$2000 to rebuild the engine PLUS labor witch wont be cheap. Why do you want to rebuild the engine? is it blown?

I can do you a low mileage 3sge swap with labor for around 2k. Rebuilding the 5SFE will cost far more then 2k with labor. 3SGE has more hp, nearly the same gas mileage as the 5SFE.

Hell if I was stateside I'd hook you up on the swap for cheap. Are you sure you don't wanna throw a 3SGTE in there ?

Yeah, I just really do not have the time or interest to devote the money to a turbo swap at present. I have the Z, and plan on buying a G35 in the next 18 months or so, depending on if we purchase house and I really would just like to restore the MR2 to good working order to serve as a daily.

I'm definitely interested in this, I'll shoot you a PM for some more information.

Thanks!

If all else fails you could just part it out and make a shit load of money .

An option but again requiring the elusive free time I do not have.

No, thats what running your own business is all about. lol Compound that with the fact I also work as a systems analyst for a fortune 500 company and the 24 hours in the day quickly wittles away. What free time I have left over I spend tinkering with the Z, traveling or spending time with my friends and family.

Perhaps at some point down the road I may be interested in developing the MR2 but for now as I have said before I would like to keep it in the garage, in working order abd available to use as a daily.
