Default Help ne, MkIII Supra Tuners

Any supra tuners out there? I put a new turbo on my car last week and am having a hard time tuning it properly. It is a gt35r with .82 a/r turbine.

I am using safc 2 and LM 1 wideband to tune it. First few runs it were pig rich and getting fuel cut like mad.

I turned the afpr down to about 30 psi with the vac hose off, but still am having to put in so much correction with the safc 2 that it is pulling timing.

So far It looks like this:
2400rpm - +5% corr - 15.7 af
3000rpm - +5% corr - 12.1 af
3600rpm - -25% corr - 11.7 af
4200rpm - -30% corr - 12.5 af
4800rpm - -28% corr - 11.2 af
5400rpm - -32% corr - 10.4 af
6000rpm - -20% corr - 10.5 af
2400rpm - -24% corr - 10.7 af

I am trying to get 11.8 -12 af. This is boosting at 15 psi, but I really hoped to run this at about 20 psi.

Pulls great from aobut 3500 to about 5000 or so where it softens up a lot presumably from timing being pulled.

Any one know what I need to do next?
I tried to get Ryan at XAT to look at it, but he no longer works there. Anyone know where he went?

whatever you do is gonna be counter acted by the ecu at anything other then wot. looks like it needs leaned out up top. id adjust it 2-3% leaner at each 10.x:1 afr then run again and check it on the datalog. also did you back out the screw on the afm to allow more air to raise the fuel cut?

Word on the street is he is at Stadium Toyota.

well if you are running rich up top just pull out more fuel. As you mentioned you have no wait to monitor or adjust timing so the more fuel you pull out the more timing you are pulling. I've used just an afc for awhile now but I guess if you wanted to be 100% safe its time to move onto something you can monitor and adjust timing with.

Thanx for the replies.
I don't think I will complicate matters by screwing around with my timing just yet.
I am reasonably sure it is a recurring problem with my intake manifold not sealing on cyl 1 and 6. I have replaced the gasket twice from it being blown, each time thinking this time for sure. Literally 1/2" piece missing on cyl 6 last time. I think I will take it to a machine shop and have the surface checked for true and maybe milled this time.

I been meaning to stop by the shop, and intend to when time permits. You open on Sat.?

7m's and their silly gaskits.
get that car on a dyno.
street tunning will never get you a better result than on a dyno.
