Default 1978 corolla

Usally on mitsubishi tech, I just bought a 1978 corolla, body in perfect shape interior was gutted. Thinking about dropping an engine but don't know which one. Some say "drop a rotory" some say "drop a small 350 in it". Car weights about 2000 lbs just want something really fast that can get me in the 10's. Any ideas?

or you could do a 7mgte. A 3sgte would just cost too much money and time.Or you could build a 4age or 22r both would be fine all motor choices. I think theres a few guys running turbo 4ages but dont them. Maybe Hachibill could chim in on this for you.

3tc all the way man. i'm currently building a turbo 3tc for my ae86, and it should be done hopefully in the summer. the parts are ready and available for this motor. no matter what they will have it for the 3tc. my goal is high 9's ET in my street ae86, and i'm very sure i will do it. anyways parts are very cheap for that motor and if you were to break it( which rearly happens) you can go to any junkyard and get another one. i have a mildly built 3tc that i had in my ae86 but i will be selling for a fair price. i had this motor for 4 years and never had a problem but the clutch hehe.

if you do decide on building the 3tc, call this guy and tell him Rudo sent you.

go to paradiseracing.com thay have built 3tc turbo engines for sale. im sure it had a 2tc in it so a 3tc is the exact same but the 3tc is bigger internally. think stroke is different. twm make a webber still fuel injection system for it to. thay make some much stuff for them its not even funny. if i remember right a celica tranny is what you wante to mate it up to. you have to get a hold of some old corrolla guys for that trick lol. a datsun pick up rear end is in order if i remeber it.

the w55 tranny is the one to get...it comes on the 82-85 gts celica and the old 22r efi picks. why those? because the casing is all aluminum, it's light, and it is proven to take ass wopping. you could also use the w50, those came on the carb 22r motor and it has the cast iron casing, and thats what makes them so heavy. you have all the local help you need, just when it comes to parts, get them from Luis at paradise racing. but if you will let anyone build a 3tc for you....take it to Raymond at new import speed shop he knows all the little tricks for this motor and they last.
