ya i did mine about a year and a half ago. for starters an 80's 4ag mr2 will bolt up to the sr5 tranny no problem and if i reamember right both gear boxs are the same t-50 i think. to the motor mounts of the sr5 and thay should bolt up to the 4ag. there both (A) series blocks. check the flywheel and bearing think there diffrent sizes if i recall something about mix and maching clutches and flywheels. yoused auto radiator so i could yous tranny cooler for engine oil cooler. trick i pickup from old guy. intake manifold from mr2 wont work will have to find one from gts. cant remember if 91 gts works. wiring lol well i took the hole thing out of an mr2 and i mean every thing down to the fuse box. put the engine in the car pluged all engine plugs in and fed mr2 main fuse box power when it ran i started cutting all the crap i dident need. it stayed this way till i got a hold of a gts in the junkyard and its engine harness plugs right into the sr5's. oh ya dont forget to buy an external fuel pump seeing how yours is mechanical. i whent to discount and got a universal fuel injected one for about 75 bucks. had about 75 psi said the box worked great. had a aem psi regulator for a honda laying around filled the holes a littil further apart and go figure fit right on the yoda. tryed few ecu's found 91 gts and 80 gts felt better then mr2s thats all i can think of for right know.
