the 2jz powered supras (mk4/jza80) are pretty reliable cars. not to mention they are sex on wheels.

Routine maintanance isn't that much different. If you are mechanically inclined you can do most anything yourself with a good set of metric tools.

I bought mine because i was tired of building everything in my subaru, so i bought a supra, thinking i could get away with some more power, and then i saw the 1400 or + cars on a stock transmission! I dont know about everyone else's figures, but me and some friends just put an SP71GTQ on my supra, with 4" exhaust all the way back, an AEM EMS, FJO wideband wired as my primary o2, dual stock fuel pumps, new additional -6 line, 96lb hr injectors, titan fuel rail, and some other neat little stuff, and i did all this for just under 6000 dollars! it may seem like a lot, but im on a completley stock longblock, as well as intake manifold and cams! ive seen others on a real similar setup do over 600whp on pump gas, and over 800 on c16 or better and some serious boost.... Hopefully my car will be tuned here in the next week, so ill let you know how it goes... the labor isnt that bad, i thought tearing as much stuff up as we did, some things would be worse but it really wasnt that bad at all..

supraforums is a good place to search for all the info you will ever need about the car!

if you want any more info, let me know, i would be more than happy to show you what ive read!

Mark
