Default First gen Celica

DAMN! I had NO idea it'd be so freaking hard to FIND one! I keep finding myself looking at them, but never can I find any for sale...

Anybody know where they can be found?

good choice. go for a 74-78 GT. 18rg is my favorite R series motor. 140hp 2.0 liter. 18rc not so good but its an easy swap if you have to go ST. i actually know of one for sale. but i can't remember year and model off the top of my head. the guy who owns it comes in every now and then to the body shop that i part time at. next time i see him ill ask. ive thought about buying it myself, but ive already got 4 projects. good luck, they are hard to find.

I had a bit of a different engine in mind, but thanks for the advice Also, I like the coupe a bit more personally, and the 71-76 or so style

Let me know whenever you can

I was thinking that too, but at 2300 lbs, even the 7M would be more than enough torque, not to mention I'd already have one in my MkIII. Inline 6 would also be a tight fit anyways I think.

I'm thinking of something right now that starts with S and ends with R20.

Have a local doin a 7m swap in his first gen. Kinda overkill if you ask me though.I would do a 3s before any swap in that car.

No thanks...if I'm going to be modifying the fuck out of it to fit an engine that hadnt come out until 20 or so years later, I'm not going to ruin a pristine one like that

Lofer, KEEP ME POSTED! I'd like to know the stuff about his swap!

But yeah, like I've said a million times before: I love my 7M to death, but I cannot deny the hotness that is the JZ series, so 7M stays in MkIII, and my next car, "whatever it may be", gets a 1JZ
