You dont have the LSD. Unless you've had a 93 tranny swap. Only 93 and up turbos had the LSD.

Default that sucks

How much is a tranny swap? And is it even available? How much HP to the wheels can I go with my stock tranny?

not to say you have one , but there were some jdm 91s that had lsd and I think there was an option from the fatory you could order special on 91-92 but 90% are one wheel wonders. As far as hp on a 91 , the e-153 any year is strong enough if you take care of it and shift carefully. The reason why everyone gets a 93 and up is the the sycros are much stronger , they have lsd , they have stronger internals(shift forks are steel instead of aluminum) and even the gears were made a little different. But ive had friends go through a rebuild with them too from neglect . You can get a low mileage 93 for around 900 to a 1,000 , plus getting istalled wich I paid 400 for a tranny swap . I dont know the going rate for that kinda work now though, that was two years ago, I did my 95 swap myself (wich I dont recommend) with a new clutch.

Default Alright

I guess we will see how long mine will last then I cross that bridge for the 93+ tranny when I get there.

In the meantime, I have Red Line MT90 as of this past week installed. Sometimes it shifts clean, other time a bit notchy. Well see.

The notchy shift is a typical 91 , get something to stiffen your motor mounts if you havnt already. Take care of it and it will last long. The sycros are the weak link, then the shift fork( mine was third gear) , then the input shaft all go. So dont beat on it too hard . The motor mount will just improve the way the car feels alittle in cornering and shifting. You can actually do that easily on your own. Just a suggestion fwiw.
