Mother Focker! <MR2 T>
Problem: MR2 T running lean and overheating
Back in the day I had no $, but plenty of time so I worked on my car myself. Now a days I have no time but deep pockets.... So, I took my car to Lakeland Toyota in hope that the MR2 Gods would fix these two problems I have. (I just spent 4K rebuilding the motor)
Instead, those Fockers charged me $ 291.00 for installing a radiator switch and sent me on my way! Which by the way, it somehow disconnected my A/C (Yeah now my compressor doesnt turn on).
Result: My EGT guage still reads 1200f to 1500f and my radiator fans stay on unless I turn the car off. The car runs 3/4 hot and the skip nutz at the dealership tells me that these types of cars run that way.
I give up
(I'm going to buy a chevy scrodum)

Defintely talk to Ryan, he has worked on my NA and Turbo. By far one of the best mechanics around. Actually he drove my car yesterday and diagnosed my problem instantly, fixed it the next morning and everything great.
Seems to know these cars like none-other, very nice guy aswell.
I thought my car was running hot aswell, but turned out the temp gauge was out.
Have changed the thermostat or bled the system?

My car had the same problem leaning out idling... the manifold would turn cherry red just sitting there. it was a sensor that went bad but I forgot which sensor it was, since it was @ turbo toys getting worked on. If you want I could call them up and see what it is.. to see if it helps you any..... or just go to XAT like the guys are saying, good luck man
