Default How do you guys conduct business with CMR?

Yeah so I spoke to charlie today, I told him i would need it rebuilt on monday. So he said I can meet up with him some where off I-4 at a gas station and give him the turbo. Have any of you guys ever conducted business this way with him? Seems kinda fishy I don't like the sound of it, I'd rather drop it off at his home/shop so that way if he tries to jack my shit, I know on which do to go knock. What do you guys think? Any previous experiences?

I would agree with you. We are talking about a valuable piece of equipment that can easilly dissapear... I would request that you meet him at his shop or else you will send it elsewhere. If he takes the step forewards to do that than I'd have +1 on the respect meter for him. If not, - 10.

he has two of my CT26's when his shop closed on Florida he took those with him and told me if I wanted them to come pick them up somewhere in the Sticks... I told him to keep the POS's becasue i didnt want to drive all the way out to get my turds.... Id ask him if you can meet him at his house, so you know where to find him.

Shit if you didn't want your CT26 I would payed for the rebuild and taken them. Yeah I'm just a little scared about this. Talking about meeting up in a gas station. I'll probably end up asking him for his shops address and meeting him there.

I have been doing business with him this way for at least 4 different turbo overhauls now, and your right he does live in the sticks. Unfortunately to own or lease a building in Tampa is ridiculous in price, so thats why Charlie works from his home now. Charlie has a reputation that he has to uphold, so stealing your turbo would be the last thing that he would ever do.

When he rebuilt my turbo a year ago, I had to meet him at the gas station and hand my turbo off to him. I had no trouble trusting him, since this was the third time I had done business with him.

I dunno, I just dont want to be one of the people on the short end of the stick and then not have a company to go after. Going after a "guy" is more difficult becasue the better business bureau dosent give a damn.
