25,000 miles isn't that long and diesel will not break a regular car. It will just run like shit and leave sulfur deposits all through your bores and exhaust. Toyotas are great but they are no "super" car or anything.

More reliable than my damn DSM.

oh hell yeah. thats damn right. i blew an 4-afe real quick cuz my oil light in the car was broken. i just woke up one morning for a stroll in the ole ae101 and then she just started knocking. i immediately pulled over and walked to the nearest gas station to get some oil put it in and then let it sit for about an hour til it cooled she started up and was cool, but after a few mins she went into the other life. cool tho since the jackasses at the junkyard where i got my engine fidged up and gave me a 7a in place of my 4a
