hey, why all the hating on the 2j? and a completely stock 2j will rev on 8500 without a problem, the 1j higher so i hear, which means (1&2j) > 7m(BHG) ... ok, all joking aside, why build it, there was a mk3 at SILV that made some 711 whp on stock 7m internals? correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure you dont need to build a whole lot on internals that can handle that, lots of people dont build the 2j either.... not saying the parts are the greatest, but if they can handle it, dont fix it until its broke yo!

Broadway, just get yourself a $1200 G-force ecu

all you need is a set of Forged pistons hung from shot peend rods... your motor will handle 800rwhp easily... ive already built a 7M like that, with ARP hardware everywhere, balanced and micropolished and everything...

the 2JZ is good and all, but not with out its problems... like crankwalk and such. there is no such thing as a "bullet proof" motor... cuz there is some moron out there someewhere who managed to put a rod thru the side of the a 2JZ block... BOTH sides.

ahahahah... seriously, i can modify the 7M to be pretty reliable... including one that has never been done before i did, to my knowledge.

if you have a well built 7M, itll last you quite some time and take a beating... no need to invest $6000 for a 2JZ swap and not have any cash left over for upgrades

2JZ has had crankwalk? There was a thread not too long ago on SF about a 7M having it

7Ms are many years older, I'm sure there will be plenty of 2JZs not exactly 100% in another 10 years or so
