I am not taking any sides but I can honestly say when I seen the car, it ran pretty good. Either way, what is the status of the motor? Plans are to ... B.T.W. IBTL

i decided to go ahead and rebuild the engine since i cant seem to find out why the car wont fire up. the day when the dizzy went out was the last day it fired up. jeff (toyotageoffrie) came over the next day to see if we could figure out what was wrong with the car and the crank timing was off several teeth compared to the cam timing...we fixed everything checked the fuel/spark and everything checked out ok but it still wouldnt fire up.

so i figured my best bet was to rebuild the engine and save myself 10-15 dollars in oil a week, since it would still burn/leak oil. even if it was drivable...

several people on club4ag have had the same problem and the only solution to the problem that i have come across was an engine rebuild...hopefully i can get the car running sometime soon and be able to enjoy it cuz it has been a headache since the 1st day i got it.

also after the 1st or 2nd time it was in the rain rust holes on the top of the windshield started showing up. hopefully it isnt to much to get fixed but i will keep you guys posted in another thread since i hope this one gets locked soon...so this drama can end here...
