Default weapon r good or bad

have been looking for decent coilovers for my car, someone told me to stay away from the crappy ebay ones.i found some weapon r coilovers for 112.50 for the whole 4 set. is this a good brand a price. future import tuner looking to fix up a nice 94 corolla with a new engine. all suggestions are welcome.

p.s. will perfomance coilovers work fine with brand new oem struts or is it an absolute must to have performance ones.

Yeah, thats a pretty shoddy brand. If its under 600 dollars or so I would definately think twice. Look for brands like Tien, Tanube, Cusco, and JIC.

Your best bet is most likely the Tien Basic Dampner. Especially if your not doing any sort of competitive motorsport.

Coilovers also replace both the shock AND the spring. This is why cheap ebay "coilovers" dont work because they are just adjustable height springs. They ride like shit because stock shocks cant keep up with the higher spring rate or shorter stroke from lowering.

If you spend about 600-700 dollars you should come up with something that rides well, handles better, and can be lowered to wherever you want it.
