A agree james, Tuning is not a cheap business, it only looks that way to the consumer who just see's his car making 3 pulls

But in the end its all worth it for everyone when the power comes out

Yes, thanks James for letting us run that late. i remember, whats-his-face was wrapping up the solid axle swap in that cobra and the Dyno-operater-guy was swapping front struts in a black GT... he can really haul ass.

$75 does seem a little high for 3 pulls... but again, Sam charges the same, but is probably another 30 minutes away from your shop... so, i was glad to be so close to home.

any chance on getting a price break on subsequent visits? Im going to be installing our SAFC and hopefully the 2JZ cams and 3" DP if i can get ahold of my machinest... id like to bring the AF's off the floor and into a range that the Sensor will actually be able to read Id like to hit a 12.0-12.3:1 AF.

No problem on the dyno price break, make sure you inform whomever takes care of you that I said you are getting a discount.Say $50.00 for 3 for this particular time?

Thanks again

James, I was more moan and groaning because I don't like to spend money I know your overhead cost in everything has to be some big numbers to keep the equipment in tip top shape.

Everything was great and I will be back soon. Thanks for doing it so late in the evening. Oh and your employees were a big help and worked quickly.

Hey...why dont you donate money to james for the dyno run and I'll get those #'s. Hahaha.

I wanted to do that for many different things but it will start to get costly going to the dyno every other week. Maybe I can put in the afc leave it alone and put the cams in go back do 1 pull without leaning it out then a 2nd one leaned out a bit. I would like to see at least 10-20hp gain just from the cams.

$50 for some pulls? that would be quite cool. i would enjoy bringing back the supra for subsequent sessions... we really do want to document the gains had by each significant mod we do to this thing, since these swaps are quite uncommon and most people dont know what they can do... its more for the benefit of the Supra crowd... otherwise id take the car all apart and install EVERYTHING all at once; big single, Skyline FMIC and the works...

we will definitly be in touch in the future.

SLashy... i really was wanting to do a pull or two after each "typical" upgrade to document the performance gains... that way prospective 1JZ swappers would be able to compare the potential of the motor's response to upgrades against the 7MGTE. but, again, that would become costly after a while. especially on the way to 500rwhp.

Yeah.. once again I was being a selfish bastard wanting you to spend money for my gain LOL.. Have gains been proven before on the 2jz cams?

not dyno proven results that i know of... just heresay, or hear-say...or however you spell it. i only know of one guy who has done it to date and is who reported that the cam seal journals are the only difference between the two sets. guess we will find out. if Leko ever gets some spare time that he's willing to be at the shop, ill take the 1J apart and take him both sets of cams. that way we will be able to take measurements from the stock cams and machine the 2J cams to match...

id also like to try to degree the cams. hes got some tools that will measure surface irregularities to find out if there are high spots or low spots... so we could use that and a degree wheel to figure out advertised duration and duration @ 0.020" lift, as well as total lift on both cams..

anyone got a degree wheel i can borrow for a little while?

I have seen Race Related's shop and it is an amazing place...very knowledgable staff too. I'm sure they are worth the cash for tuning purposes, but for only 3 baseline runs, you could do better in the cash department. It still beats Titan though!
