alright i know i dont really belong here but me and my friend were talking about swap and got onto MR2's...anyway would it be possible to take a MR2 and drop a supra turbo motor into it and if so what all would be needed besides wire harness and computer...like will the MR2 tranny bolt up to the motor ect.

 

umm a inline 6 in a mr2 i dout the body of the mr2 would be wide enough for that.

It can't work. I'm not trying to light the flame gun here, but there have been at least a hundred posts about trying it on the mr2 boards. It simply can't be done. Now is the part where somebody posts that it can be done, and that his buddy read somewhere about some guy who said he did it. Then somebody else will post that that person is an idiot and point out all the reasons why it can't be done. Then the two camps will argue, call eachother idiots, and you know the rest. So let's just let it die here and now.

 

well i'm almost that guy...hehe......just buy a fiero and drop a cadillac northstar V8 in that thing.....you'll run 11's on motor alone......and dont say it cant be done.......

Hilarious, the same moment I found this thread was the moment I was talking to my friend about it. Give me $35k and I'll do it.

$15k-20k for the MR-S sans engine (3rd gen. Not the best, but probably the lightest), $6k for the 2JZ-GTE, $2k-3k for the best FWD tranny ever made, and the rest to make it work.

I want to do this sometime in my life. By the time I am able to, I'll probably have matured enough to realise it cant happen
