Thats probalby why a turbo "kit" is not offered for a car with the vvt-i. If your car does have VVT-i and no one offeres a nice bolt on kit you will probably have to faboricate your own. Its completely possibile just will make it a pain in the ass.
A few companies offer turbo kits for the VVT-i...like the SRT turbo kit, ToyoMoto has their own kits....a few more have some. But, I was looking on (www.suprastore.com) and they have a turbo kit for the N/A supra's but it doesn't fit the IS, so I was just wondering what the difference was from the actual N/A 2jz and the VVT-i 2jz.

i think the kit not fiting has more to do with chassis differences than actual engine differences, except for maybe the oil pan, or accesory placement.

TooSlow, what happened to the 88 Supra? Did you sell it or is it broke down or what?

DO NOT BUY FROM SUPRASTORE.. i would repeat it but ill just tell you to reread that... titan motorsports is a supplier to them, basically they order from titan and send it to you however, i have heard a lot of horrible things from them, i.e. people order 2k worth of stuff, and wind up with a 4k bill, i actually got into it with them on the phone.. took a month to sort out before i even had my supra, i was buying exhaust etc...

Odd...I bought nearly my whole motor build from Titan. Titan Motorsports= Suprastore. They are the same company. In the same building. I ordered rods, pistons, cams, cam gears, clutch, flywheel...Funny I got it all the next day. Being that they are in Orlando ground shipping is next day for us here in Tampa. You just need to be smart about things with them . Tell them you are in Tampa and know if its in stock it should get to you next day. If its not in stock , then dont order it from them. Easy...

Suprastore has always been a problem really...ask damn near anyone on SupraForums. Most people are there because the owner of the store is also the headmaster of i-Supra, which also has a bad reputation. I'd never order there personally. I believe Supra Sport was recently sold too, and havent heard anything good recently about them either, although they used to be superb.

Go with the IS, great car, great looks and great handling.

Stock HP leaves a lot to be desired, but if you're going FI from the start, that won't be an issue.

I have spent a fair amount of time in/on/under this particular car and it's worth every drop of sweat.

a buddy of mine who got a jobber account through titan was told that outsourcing to supra store is done through titan, and nothing else, that Mark Tozer is the sole proprietor of suprastore.. besides, a lot of things from those two AND www.i-m-racing.com are similar, and why are prices diff. on suprastore and titan's websites.... dont get me wrong, but everything i ordered was in stock.. it took 2 weeks to get a wing, catback, downpipe, intake and some other crap and they DOUBLED the price of my order... all i know is that i wont deal with them again period. and i doubt www.mvpmotorsports.com will get any of my business either as all i do is go through www.wotm.com... ryan woon rocks, he has the BEST customer service i have ever dealt with ANYWHERE, from buying a pizza to buying a car... the best hands down... he hauls ass to get you what you need, including just info, and he has helped me out a ton, and i havent even ordered a turbo kit yet... when i do, he will be the man i talk to

Oh, and BTW is300matt said larry at innovations, best advice ive seen.... if you arent capable of the work yourself, try out Larry, no one in tampa can compare to what i keep hearing about him.... he talked to me on the phone for a hell of a long time without one complaint.. when i need it, he will be getting my business...
