Default FS: maybe... FLAWLESS MK3.5 1JZ-GTE, $12499

well.... the swap has been complete for maybe a month. Psifactor thinks that she either wants a white car or black car or a charcoal gray car...but not a red car. so shes considering selling the MK3.5 if the right, motivated buyer comes along. i know what its worth and what 1JZ supras go for, including the cost option of importing a JDM JZA70.

here's the break down;

Recipient car;
-1989.4 Supra Turbo, Targa, 5 speed
-Lite Gray cloth interior, almost perfect, 9/10. missing the switch to recline driver seat and bead trim around edge of seat is worn on the side bolster and bottom support
-complete w/ rear hatch shade
-Shiney smooth "Super Red" paint
-entire engine bay degreased and detailed
-89.5+ subframe swapped in
-missing full-size spare
-Non-TEMS

Donor car;
-1st generation JZA70, Non-VVTi, 83xxx KMs
-Twin Turbo Limited
-A342E tranny

-Wire harness extension by me, each connection is twisted tightly, soldered perfectly and insulated w/ commercial grade Heat-shrink.
-Jumper harness to connect 1JZ harness to MA70 body harness perfect except Tach wire needs debugged

-Equipped w/ JZA70 throttle cable
-Retains Hydraulic fan
-Retains JZA70 radiator w/ MKIV tt 1.1 bar radiator cap
-Retains JZA70 overflow bottle/bracket
-Retains JZA70 header panel center support
-REtains JZA70 FMIC and IC pipes
-Retains Power steering
-Custom fabbed High pressure PS hose
-Retains AC but needs new/custom AC line

-Equipped w/ Oil filter relocation kit and mounted behind driver side foglight opening

-Throttle body coolant and ISC coolant hose bypassed
-Twin turbo pipes Powdercoated
-HKS SMF intake, also powdercoated
-Intake manifold Painted
-Block degreased and painted
-Valve covers smoothed and high-speed polished
-Turbos have no abnormal shaft play and perfect compressor blades
-Heat-hardened rubber turbo couplers replaced w/ ThermalFlex silicon couplers
-New calipers, rotors and pads on the front. system flushed, Master cylinder inspected and rebuilt.
-1JZ bell housing
-New input shaft seal on tranny
-Stock flywheel lightened to 11lbs

-Clutchnet 3 puck copper/ceramic clutch w/ sprung hub

-Stock toyota pressure plate, per Clutchnet recommendations
-New OEM throwout bearing
-Clutch fork pivot mount Heli-coiled to mil-spec code
-Supra Central Solid aluminum motor mounts
-Custom In-dash Mounted Autometer Pro-Comp 30in/hg_30psi boost guage... lights up green to match the stock guages and accessories.

driving impressions;

3 puck clutch requires a bit more concentration to master, but by no means is it unstreetable. My GF (psifactor) Drives this car in stop-and-go traffic to work, 5 days a week... then takes it out on saturday nights to the car meets/races. if a girl can drive it, so can you. the clutch can handle well over 600 HP, so the drive train does NOT need to be upgraded to go big-single... ive done the hard work for you. there are countless hours of labor in the wire harness, valve covers, engine detailing, engine bay detailing, and sub frame swapping.

this is as close to a JZA70 as you can get as far as box-stock perfect assembly. the only difference between this car and a JDM Car is the driver orientation, thats it. This car is completely converted w/ all usable parts from the clip. this car boosts perfectly and quickly to 12 psi, sometimes spiking to 14-15psi due to the open stock downpipe. it pulls efforlessly all the way to speed cut. there is a little vibration felt in the car but i cant tell if thats due to the solid motor mounts or the open down pipe exiting under the front seats. the car starts up every time on the first crank. goes into cold-idle, then kicks down as the engine heats up. doesnt over heat, coolant temp stays well below the half-way mark on the guage. it gets GREAT Gas mileage... it gets about 23 mpg around town... probably 27mpg on the freeway.

PM me or flubyux2. our AIM names are the same as our titles

Why not just paint it white?! I dont want to be the only one with a 1JZ, much less keep it for as long as I can, hopefully 4 years at least

well, if you learn anything about me from judging by the swap, you should remmeber that im meticulous and pay attention to details... which means that it would be VERY VERY costly, difficult and time consuming to PROPERLY repaint the car another color. if i were to have it recolored, this would have to happen;

remove engine/tranny and all components in engine bay
remove fenders, doors, hatch, sill plates, weatehr strip, targa, carpet, hood bumpers, trim moldings, turn signals, tail lights, lower ground FX.

then sand down to bare metal, respray w/ 2 stage base/clear. bake in an oven of course.

i do NOT care for nor do i condone resprays where the door jambs, trunks, hoods and engine bays remain the previous color... its the MOST ghetto thing i see... aside from flat-black paint jobs, by Krylon.

Ah, I understand completely. Now, are you two related, married, together...what? Do you share this car?

dude..i never said anything about YOU wanting too much for your car. I dont appriciate it when people ridicule what someone else is selling an item for. If i cannot get what I want....the car won't sell.

And yes they have gone for 12k with swaps not as nice as this one.

This car is clean and the swap is almost flawless

Kirk buy something or get out. This is a for sale thread, not an opinion thread.
