seriously though... my sister's jabroni boyfriend had a 1JZ swap w/ an AT and was offered $12k if he would convert it to 5sp. being the knucklehead he is, he declined and insisted to sell it as an AT... and only got ~$8500 for it. so there are people willing to pay close to what we ask for this car. i DARE you to find a cleaner 1JZ swap than this. im sure youll find more with more mods and bigger turbos, but that doesnt make up for any imperfections. thats what dealers do; they add bells and whistles to used cars to keep you from focusing on the fact that the wire harness is burned in one place and is on the verge of shorting out and burning the car down... or that the frame is damaged... or that the headgasket is about to let loose... or the rings are about shot and the compression is reaching the max service limit. i guarantee this car to be one of the finest LHD JZA70's this side of the ocean... Yea thats right, i said it... JZA70. thats what it is gotdammit! and dont any of you dare say "no its not, its just an MA70 w/ a 1JZ" cuz if i took a REAL jdm JZA70 and converted it to LHD and made it EPA/DOT legal... would that make it an MA70? i dont think so.
and kirk... we arent in ANY hurry whatsoever to sell this car. if a motivated buyer comes along and appreciates the work and time and craftsmanship on this car and is willing to pay for such a cleanly executed conversion, than so be it... if not, itll get a T3/T4 62-1 on a custom 321SS manifold w/ a GReddy Type C External, MKIV tt 550's, TT fuel pump, BNR34 FMIC, 3" IC pipes, TiAL Bov, 3" custom DP and exhaust w/ genuine Apex-I Dunk.
and lets not forget the ratio of MK3.5's to MKIV NA-T and TT's... id say this is one hell of a rare-ass car. just like Orin says: "why be one of many when you can be one of few"
instead of always chiming in w/ something negative, how bout you keep your trap shut until you have something positive or constructive to say. i mean, you know your stuff... put that knowlege to use instead of just coming up w/ negative comments and one-liners.
oh yea... Mark, when i can pick up that T2?
