if it's non tvis go for it. If not then just find a rwd manifold. I might still have one somewhere. I'll check for ya.

another thing is if you want to run ITB's then you need a JDM 4ag harness and ecu cause all us 4a's were mass air sensor, and with ITB's you'll need MAP sensor. i also went to the toyota dealer and was in the back room where they keep all the service manuals and found nothing that states that the later model red hats were 10.3to1 compression. i believe they were all the standard 9.4. i looked in the book for the 90-93 GEO Prizm GSI with a small port red hat 4age and the compression PSI was the same as the earlier models. so i don't think any US 4a's had the 10.3 compression pistons. if they did then you should be able to get them from the toyota dealer and not pay $400 from Toysport.

just use all stock corolla stuff and just get the car running, as a matter of fact the cophers down here has a GT-S ae86 in the junk yard and it has everything you need for your car.

I think it's cheaper to go with ITB + TRD headder. how much is cutting a manifold and weld it together costs for switching the thlittlebody??

thanks again for the tips, this is great stuff. PLease let me know if you have that mainfold, Aphxero. Bill, I may have to check out Cophers. Taka, it's funny you mention cutting the manifold, someone else has brought that up in conversation. Does anyone have an idea what an intake will cost?

A large port AE101 ITB adapter runs about 275 from T3 . The ITB's will run you 200 or more depending on whom you get them from .

Just run a megasquirt w/EDIS for management about the same price as a JDM Map stuff and its alot more tuneable .

I'd say go with a stock usdm setup and spend $$$ where it counts, suspension.

regular old 16v bluetop=fun, cheap, and indestructable.

that is probably what i will do. I'm getting anxious though. I don't know which to build first, the Hachi or the 240. I want to at least get the swap done and get her going.

What ever you think the right price is, let me know and we will talk.

Then there is Drift Alot's car. I want that too. Damn, i need to make some serious money.
