HEY WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THE NEW SCION TC's? I'M THINKING ABOUT GETTING ONE, ITS ONLY A 4-CYLINDER THOUGH SO I'M NOT SURE. ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

 

haven't heard much about them... is that the 2 door coupe? they looked cool but... as far as reliability and HP & Torque... I would wait a couple years for them to get established and the bugs worked out...

Only a 4-cylinder? Ehh...don't you drive a Tercel?

Seems like a nice car though. I really like the huge sunroof (looks similar to the one in the mini cooper). Would have been nice to have one of those available in the xB.

My only problem with my Scion are the friggin floormats. I have about 3500 miles on the car, and the driver's side floormat looks about as worn as my old Focus mat at about 65k miles. Other than that, no big complaints.

 

basically in a nut shell the new TC is a smaller, cooler version of a 2 door camary. camary motor, suspension, etc. it has a 2.4L 160hp and 160lbsTQ. so it won't be any faster than a celica, prolly slower. and it weighs more. but if its all camary parts than you could stick a 1mzfe in it and it would haul ass.

 

or just wait for the TRD supercharger due out in december that shows 25% increase in power to 200hp, probably be a lot cheaper...

 

not enough performance for the $$...a SRT-4 would be cheaper and have more potential than a Scion...Just my .02 cents

If your looking for performance, a SRT-4 would be a much better choice, however from what it seems you'd "accidentally" get a Neon instead "because its cheaper". The tC is a sports coupe not ment to compete. Same with the Tundra, it isnt meant to compete with the new F-150 and Titan. It'll comfortably get you places reliably for hundreds of thousands of miles with a little pep.
