yeah if u wanna spend 20K (aka scion w/SC) then just get an SRT-4 instead..

I'd be getting the basemodel with very few options, 16.5K is a great price for everything an integra GSR had years ago +more for 24 or so..

 

I'm gunna have to agree with Orion on this. It's a neon... alotta people don't like neons.. myself being one of those people. I hate the looks of them and I refuse to buy a gm vehicle because of reliability issues. HOWEVER, I have had absolutely no problems with toyotas.. u can beat tha shit outta them and they'll keep running.. I would rather have a scion vs a neon bc of reliability alone. And you can ALWAYS make it faster then a neon... believe me. I've seen people make a goddamn tercel run 9's... it can be done... just takes time and money as well as knowledge.

 

Always keep in mind this: GM sells vehicles to sell and make money. Toyota builds them with quality. People are realising this and that is why they are gaining on GM as far as #1 car maker. The fact that you can spend a bit more on a Toyota and have it last twice as long is quite worth it. Dodge seems to have tranny problems sometimes, but SRT4 has a getrag tranny, so no need to worry there. I've never heard of a bad getrag.

 

why are you all saying the SRT-4 is cheaper than the scion because the SRT-4 is like $20,995, and the scion is only like $16,000

 

I test drove a 5-speed tC the other day. Even with a 2.4L VVT-i, it was WAY slower than my 9 year old 2.4L truck. Otherwise, it was okay. Just don't plan to race it.

the Scion Tc with the supercharger is almost 21K as well and not as good as the SRT4.. hence why i'd have an NA TC
