usually in turbocharged cars for launches.. before the light goes green i give it a few WOT pumps of the pedal to spin the turbine.. I find that this gives me better reaction after the green light.. just holding the revs at... lets say 4000, wont get the turbine to spin as quick as afew quick trips higher..

get to the speed you want to start at, hold the brake just enough to keep the car from speeding up, and step on the gas pedal.. so the pedal is floored or close to it and the brakes are being held so the car isnt accelerating, its just putting load on the engine/prespooling the turbos.

Once you do that make sure you are in the proper gear where you will have the most usable powerband. Then use your left foot to begin pressing on the brake pedal while at the same time giving it enough gas to keep you at your desired speed. Looking over at your boost gauge you should be able to see yourself starting to build boost. Keep pressing down on the gas until you get to about 75% to WOT while still holding the brake with your left foot to keep you at 60mph...let go of the brake pedal and hold on
thanks for the info, i have a nice stretch of road in front of my community im going to be doing some practicing on
