Heard decent things about it, but of course most of it is speculation since I believe it isn't due to hit dealerships until November.

Speaking of speculation, is this going to replace the Celica as Toyota's new "sporty" 2-door?

n.e.ways........ I don't know any thing about scion just yet but I hear from people the are worth every penny and the are made by toyota so the are reliable and fuel eficiant(spell check)

Just read a few posts on scionlife.com . Seems the tC will be coming out sometime in June.

I still can't beleve they would do away with the toyota sports car that paved the way for the supra and the 2nd gen mr2 the celica is THE CAR I don't think I will ever respect toyota if the do away with the very first toyota I ever owned

 

i got a scion. and the tC comes out in june all over the USA. the tC will have the RZ engine in it. 160 HP.. i believe it FR, not sure tho.

from my experience with scion.. the tC will blow people away with its unique-ness as far as a nice mid-sized car with bawls, and many customization options. the tC will have a factory option of a turbo in the near future.

so to those that have a toyota RZ engine.. check out the tC turbo b/c it shoudl bolt right on.. or with few modifications. new rav4s, corollas and tacomas will be able to do this mod.

also the tC is extremely light. i have an xB and with only 108 hp 5 speed i can keep up with a modded integra pretty well until the high rpms in 3rd gear.. ha ha. so the weight to power ratio of the scion is amazing.

also the tC has 2 sun roofs on in teh front and one in the back, side markers on mirrors, the interior has neon options as all the scions do.

i cannot wait to see this car. i have na xB and i love it, i bet the tC will rock too but ill keep my xB and jsut drive around one of my club member's tCs. i hope they let me. ^___^

Ummmm...think you may be exagerrating? Is this a manual transmission xB vs. a stock auto LS or something? My xB is anything but quick. I'd say this thing is slow...very slow.



As far as the tC replacing the Celica...I posted a question, not a fact. I was just curious if Toyota would keep two similar cars. I think the tC would draw away many prospective Celica buyers. Doesn't seem like a smart idea for Toyota to manufacture cars to compete with each other.

Actually, I was shotgun when she did it. The xB held its own against a pretty riced out Teg.
