i heard that you can swap a evo in a scion

I think Taylor was telling me putting the Celica GTS motor into a Scion xB is a possibility. Hell...anything is a possibility if you have the money.

 

why would you want to swap that motor

that car has been around in japan for a while and there are extreme engine kits for that car including basic bolt-ons galore

start searchin in search forums and shit

not to mention the high comp. ratio stock


also the american version is tweaked down
so just tighten some bolts cut some wires and change out the ecu for the jdm one and youve got an extra (+/-) 30hp

 

plus or minus 30hp?!?!

 

Ah yes, tightening bolts does increase horspower.

I'd like to see some more information on the bB. Specs, common modifications, parts compatable with the US xB, etc.

 

How about they are the ugliest dumbest cars evAr to modify.

 

Although I don't agree with the ugliness, I do agree modifying the xB is just about pointless. Aside from some suspension mods and the typical exhaust/air filter mod, mine is staying stock. It is a nice car and is fun to drive, but I just don't see much potential unless you either dig into the motor or ditch it all together for something a bit more capable.

I dont think that there is a more PRACTICAL car you can buy today....

If you doubt me, go sit in one, test drive it, and then look at the MPG numbers.. Its just amazing what all you get for 15K..

I'm 6'4" and I have 5 inches above my head in an xB. it seems a lot bigger on the inside than on the outside, I'd really love to get one as a daily driver.

The other BIG bonus for me is that since its so POINTLESS to mod, it actually SAVES me money! I tend to mod all my cars lol...
