Why not stick with the NA setup....They do say the Na head flows better you know...Then build a GTE bottom end and fuse them together...GREAT for boost and great for NA power....Heres pic of my motor bay to shwo you my NA/GTE setup...

hey mark... you could just get an SC300 5speed for under 10k and drive that around till you find yourself a nice soarer front cut.

the soarer is the SC300 but it has a 1JZ... just as strong as a 2JZ but only a 2.5 liter, not a 3.0. I think if you find a newer soarer frontcut, you might even have one w/ VVTI.

When i was at the meet, i was sorta Jaded by all the MKIV's. It woulda been refreshing to see a nice SC300 there w/ a Jspec motor swap. hell, you could even convert the badging to a Toyota Soarer... guys in Australia kill for the USDM Lexus badging. im sure you could arrange to swap straight up.

but, a 1JZ can be built to be make as much power as you want... you still want 700 HP right?

you could also get a prepped 2JZGTE short block and swap it into the SC300 after you do your conversion. then you will have a 1.5JZ= 1200HP potential bottom end and superior breating top end... the ONLY way to fly.
