Im with bill... you need to be able to manage and lay down the power that you DO have before adding more power.

It would have been a good idea to get some adjustable shocks, stock springs, stiff bushings, DR's, a clutch, and an LSD.

He coulda run those times w/ the suspension mods, DR's, good driving and BPU (intake, exhaust, +boost)

 

The supra felt much faster than 14.0 with the boost controller in, seat of the pants comparison with no boost controller and low 13's seem well within reach. It'd be interesting to see what it would do open downpipe, too.

"Yea, that was john's supra. I shoulda ran mine but didnt for numerous reasons:

1) Vaccum/boost leak at injector grommets
2) Leaky rear end
3) Crankcase vent hose popped off and coated front driverside of engine w/ oil and was dripping
4) didnt have a ticket to run
5) couldnt afford to pull a Juiced "

Oh, ok. I think I saw your car in the parking lot, I made one complete pass of the whole parking area. The worst part was coming to the end of the line and seeing all those mkiv's just sitting there including one I recognized as hogan's that supposedly has something like 550-600 whp. It seemed a shame that not one of them ran even when they had 10 spots for sale.

 

yea, i know exactlywhat you are talkin about... i was shocked when i saw all the MKIV's pulling out and not one of them ran. i guess they may have been saving themselves for the Dyno day that took place on that sunday

I dont know if Mr Hogan is a big racer or not... never got to meet him or talk to him or even see him involved in any impromtu races.

My car is red w/ the 5-star wheels and "Defcon Motorsports" on the front and rear windows. i had the top off that night... it was probalby the ONLY other MK3 supra there.

...i still havent fixed my rear end leak or vaccum/boost leak
