I am planning on building a reliable show car which is why I am going with the 1JZ.
Nothing serious on motor, HKS SSQBOV, Exhaust, thats it. I'll have around $9,000 to work with this december, aside from the expenses going into the MKIV
I've always wanted to build a Turbo A replica because nobody will know what it is, not even the MK3 owners here. Black, dropped like my old supra, powdercoated MKIV TT wheels... my own style, which sticks with the real style just a little better

Fo rizzle... Actually, arent there guys running aroudn w/ 1JZ swaps, BPU'd and laying down anywhere from 280-320 RWHP???
If you crank the boost on those stockers... they will not last. even if you stay below the "grenaded-turbo-boost-level" they still have a significantly shortend life span... stock boost level is probably the best way to go.. right?

Every turbo is good for boosting beyond stock, but it wont last.
Look at what happend to the stock twin's on Reg's One-Lap MKIV... that was just a BPU car.
