Hey can we please get a minimum post count of like 100 to start a thread in the for sale section? That's how most other forums do it and I'm tired of seeing banned people keep making new names on here and posting stuff for sale when it's probably A) stolen or B) they are gonna scam the buyer

minimum post count of 100 to post i classifieds is not something we are going to do. Classifieds are the most busy part of TR, if we suddenly say only people with a post count of 100 can post in there, the amount of stuff posted would drop to a trickle.

There are other options we can explore though. We like the classifieds the way they are, simple, easy to use.

As was already stated, I am saying in order to start a thread, not to post in a thread, look through the threads, 49 out of 50 threads posted the OP already has over 100 posts it would just get rid of the crap, and the people that post a thread on here and get a bunch of people interested then they never post back on here again and as I said it would get rid of the scammers and banned people. People such as Jason Sink, thieves who make a new shared_user name like 3 times a week and post their phone number so people get interested before their new name gets deleted again.

 

General rule of thumb is to keep things easy, accessible and free. The fact that things are easy and accessible allows them to be free. The classifieds are a big draw for the site, and they are a big draw because they are easy to use, acessible by anyone and free to use.
