Default hey i dunno

I dunno billy, but the manual says "AT MODELS EXCEPT TURBO". I take that as meaning all auto cars and all turbo imprezas. I COULD BE WRONG, and since billy disagrees with me I probably am. I t could mean all automatic cars except autos with turbo, but that doesn't make as much sence to me, especially since I figure the higher end models should have the same options as the lower end imprezas....and I figure the place for the fuse wouldn't be there if you couldn't do it. Anyways that's my story(again) and I'm stickin to it. peace,
hippy

well since on the auto its not a viscous center dif fI think its a comp controlled diff that would make sence, but manuals are deff a mech diff well a viscous center diff anyway

Default hey

hey again,
I believe you all, my point was that there must be a more cost effective way to tune a computer system. I mean I know if I had a dyno I'd want to use it, but wouldn't it cost less and take less time to go to mastro and use there dyno a few times? I still just don't get it, the whole switchin out the center diff deal... anyways peace,
hippy

most likely no, a used center diff should be relatively cheap, alot of the autocross and rally guys switch it for the STI version from what I've found. I have a couple leads I'm working on in the 100 dollar range. And as far as swapping them thats no big deal.

The following cars use the same viscous coupling (# 38913AA100)

All 99-03 Imprezas

99-up Legacys

99-02 Forester
