I saw you at the shop awile back. I don't know if we were actually introduced or not. I asked whos car yours was and one night you came up to finish priming the front clip.
I have the WRX turbo, intercooler, intake, injectors, fuel pump, basically everything except the exhaust manifold and the exhaust. I'm not sure exactly how much it would cost. It definitely helps having these parts. Probably around $2,000 more (just guessing). The other option is to just swap a WRX engine into my car.
Who knows. I need it to be reliable. I have to get to work somehow. I can save but the real question is how bad do I really want to do it.

Yeah but how easy is it to find a WRX engine, I'm guessing they're not laying around in junkyards yet. If you can get a good deal on a wrx engine, and sell the other turbo parts that would be awesome. Just go for whatever is more practical. If this is your daily driver, I would add Billy's turbo parts on to it. But it's true how bad DO you want it, if I were you and owned a 2.5RS Impreza I would want it pretty damn badly. Speed is priceless baby

One of the things we are considering, like she said, is to keep at least one of the cars as close to factory specs as possible. Doing the engine swap would be very reliable because it would be a factory engine, but then we run into the problem of how well the rest of the drive train would hold up.
If we were to do the turbo on her engine we have to worry about the engine holding up as well as the drivetrain components.
Yes, both could be done reliabley and safely. But, either way you look at it there have been major power changes made to a car that wasn't designed for it, and we can't afford to have both of our cars go down

True, I guess you two have a hard decision. Look at Reliability vs. Price vs. ease vs. down time vs. availibility . Either way heavily modded turbo's can be somewhat unreliable.

How sweet. You even found me a picture of a white one.
I don't know if I like it though. It looks somewhat awkward and its really heavy (not that it matters). Kinda pricey for no real gains. The aluminum hood would be a better investment.
So next I need to finally put on that sway bar and add the links whenever you get them. I need to do something with the suspension, but it's expensive. I'm saving for bigger and better things
I WANT ANTHRACITE P7's!!!!! Anyone selling any? cheap?
