i have a jdm wrx engine if anyone wants to buy one....has everything except for the ecu. It has the turbo (set to a stock 14 psi), manifolds, avcs (subaru vtec) and an uncut engine wiring harness. It only has 500 miles on it. If anyone wants an engine for a swap this would be a nice engine.

hey guys my friend just got his brand new wrx and is looking to mod it. where can he get the blow off valve that he bought installed??? what kind of exhaust setup will give him the most bang for the buck and sound good too??? what should he launch it at or how should he launch it????

exhaust.. for MY money.. best around is scoobysport.. yes its only a 2.5" exhaust.. but it has by far the best low down torque and the fullt up-pipe/turbo back will give your friend about 25-35 hp atw... and it sounds fuckin awesome.. www.rallyperformance.com sells them or Mastro Subaru can prolly get them.. www.mastrowrx.com has lots of cool WRX stuff in the Tampa area and have an aWD dyno aswell (expensive though)
as for launching.. lauching it with alot of clutch feathering.. do not just side step the cluth.. you'll be PAYING (wont be covered under warranty) for a new tranny in no time.. i used to launch mine at about 4000 rpm with a heavy clutch feather.. get 1.8 60 ft times on stock tires like that..
and dont try to chirp the gears.,. you wont.. you'll just fuck your drive train.. any 'thumps' from the rear end means your doin shit wrong.

I usually launch my car a little higher then Zate did hiw, but I slip the clutch alot more, so I run about the same 60's as Zate used to. I just baby the damn tranny alot more off the line then he did. But, where Zate used to baby his tranny on the shifts, I get my abuse in there. But like Zate said, don't go trying to chirp gears with the car...the tranny won't like you for long.
