Default Intercooler upgrade (tmic or fmic)

I have a 2011 wrx and I'm going to upgrade the tmic soon. I'm not sure if I should go with the fms Fmic($650) or the processwest Tmic($915). I usually drive around town and hate getting heat soaked while waiting at a light. BTW power goals for the future are 350whp, currently I have a harman motive Dp and afe panel filter tuned by snowman.

I would stay top mount. I have a TurboXS TMIC and it will get heatsoaked a little in traffic, but because it is made of aluminum, it dissipates the heat quickly and becomes cool to the touch within a 1-2 minutes of driving. FMIC is going to give you the best cooling efficiency, but always consider that you still have a stock turbo, and turbo lag will be an issue. For a 350whp car, I think most will agree that the TMIC will hold just fine for you. Other thing I would look at is you have a BRAND NEW wrx and you would have to cut the front bumper. If it was an older one, I would say go for it.... but its still new.

Yeah cutting the front bumper on a new car was one of the things holding me back from fmic.

Front mount always, or stay stock, dont waste ur money. U can hit 350 with stock topmount. Front mounts r not that laggy. And the advantages much out way the small disadvantages.

TMIC is the biggest waste of money, the "lag" from a FMIC isnt even noticeable. Dont be a pussy, man up

I have no problems with my tmic. I have a spearco tmic and I'm making over 400whp.. I'm also moving up to a dom 3 xtr on my spearco but I am running 100% meth.
