OK, changed out a motor wednesday night, (after a boost spike) ran several full sessions, made chassis changes then had the next session (before qualifying) cancelled when a camaro took down about 60 ft of fence, knocking the front off of their car. Qualified 5th after Grand Am tossed a couple of competitors for ride height violations.
Managed to race up to 3rd or 4th, then stayed out during the first yellow which cycled us to first.
Was passed on the restart by a BMW, a Mustang attempted to pass but was unsuccessful, we ran down the BMW and passed for the lead, then pulled a 6 second lead on the field.
Pitted under yellow for a tire, fuel and driver change then ran in 13-14th until the next (last) stop to get fuel. This should have cycled us back to the lead with enough fuel to finish the race/
Unfortunately the ECM shut the car down when we re-entered the track, so that was the end of it
First laps led by a Subi (I think) in this series, great starting spot, unfortunately we had some bad luck, but overall, pretty successful for a brand new car in the series.
