im not hating on S&R im just saying their are more shops out that that can do just as well of work and as for tuning DREW has great pricing and is local. He can tune just as well if not better than anyone around here.

Default Shop Reps

I agree with Treveym and SteelDragonSti about S&R. I'm sure that they and Scott are not the only people who can build and tune, but they inspire confidence because they do exactly what they say they will at a fair price. My car ended up at Topspeed solely because I wanted Scott to tune it. If you've read my build thread you know how they f'dup my motor. Bobby took his truck and trailer; left on a Saturday night after working a 6 day week and brought my car back by Sunday night where it is now being done properly in his shop;only to start another 6 day week on Monday. Yes, he will make money out of fixing what the other shop did to it, but Bobby and all his crew know their stuff, do the job right, don't try to sell you things you don't need and are there when you need them. That's why they have the rep they have, because they DESERVE IT.

How is posting a thread about a good Subaru shop not related to Subie tech?

I don't like to defend shops but at the same time I don't like good reputable shops to be trashed; sort of. S&R has a good staff. Taylor alone has probably been around longer than most posting in this thread. Including myself. And when I say around I mean building motors, working in this industry, etc. S&R actually has and keeps insurance for their building, customer's cars, their employees (I think) and many other things. They're definately in it for the long haul. That's more than 95% of the other local shops can say. If you don't like something it's simple. Move on or voice it to them

+1

some of you who bash have only had brief experiences with S&R. I don't recommend them to so many people because they did a few things for my street car. I recommend them because they kept my race car running smoothly almost all the time. It is nearly impossibly to simulate anywhere near race conditions on the street. The car was run harder than anyone's car on here. Whenever alignment tweaks or anything else was needed, they made the time for me to come in and get everything fixed. They were never stumped by any issues I had with the car, and were proactive about getting the car correctly prepped for the track. While in the shop, Mike did many things to prepare the car for the future, making sure that if it needed to be worked on again that bolts were easier to access, wires were easier to dissect, etc. These are the kinds of things that make people want to go back to a shop and recommend them to other people.

Man, you are a moron. I never said anything about anyone ever being off-topic. You were completely wrong about this thread not being related to subie tech. I was telling you that.
