Default Mishimoto oil cooler

As some of you know i spun a bearing a month or so ago. Im currently rebuilding the sti and came a cross the fact that the factory oil cooler probably trapped junk inside of itself. Looking for alternatives and wanted to know if the Mishimoto was a replacement unit where i could delete the factory one. sorry if i dont make too much sence been a rough day and im having withdrawls.

Thanks,

H.R.

the mishimoto has an adapter that taps into the drain plug of the oil pan, oil flows to and from there. nothing is replaced.

The factory oil cooler only trapped a bunch of stuff (bearing material) because you spun a bearing. It doesn't just trap crap in it all by itself.
