p0457
Cruising to work this morning, this code came up.
p0457
evap emission system leak
(loose gas cap)
I'm guessing the loose gas cap is just the accessport telling you thats the most common problem, because it surely isn't my problem. I popped the hood this morning when I got to work and it sounds like an MASSIVE air leak between the turbo inlet and the alternator, which containts everything where a leak would be lol. These motors are so damn hard to diagnose because everything is so loud.
I noticed while idling, I'm running verrrrrry lean all of sudden so it definitely seems to just be an air leak somewhere.

That code is for the fuel system, not the intake. I am fighting a P0442 Evaporative Emission System Leak (Small) right now. There is a specific code for loose gas caps for a reason so I would unscrew it and retighten. If the code comes back you have a leak somewhere else. Since you mention hearing an air leak near the alternator, check the solenoid that comes off of the intake manifold in that area. One of the lines there goes back to the fuel tank. You can also try looking under the rear of the car. There are a bunch of lines coming off the gas tank and charcoal canister. A leak in one of them could cause this CEL.
If you can smell raw fuel anywhere around the car, that's likely where the problem is.

Well, according to nasioc that cel comes on when the hose on the pcv valve pops off too. I couldn't really see if mine had popped off or not since it was dark this morning. Might just swing by S&R if I can't see it.

delete this system theyre not made to handle anything over like 21psi so the piece breaks inside and it becomes a constant boost leak
search nasioc you pull off the little circle piece on the manifold and the solenoid that attaches to it... youll need a tuner to turn off the cell prosport car also has it deleted... instead of letting the fumes go into the mani from the charcoal canister its just going to vent to the atmosphere under the mani its not constant fumes either so dont worry about that
